My passion for supporting individuals impacted by interpersonal violence began during college at Amherst, where I studied Psychology and worked as a Peer Advocate for Sexual Respect. In that role, I led bystander intervention trainings, organized workshops and events to bring awareness to issues of sexual and relationship violence, and provided direct support to survivors. These experiences sparked a desire to figure out how to better support individuals in their healing from experiences of interpersonal violence. This led me to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology at UNL, where my research focuses on reducing post-traumatic stress disorder and harmful alcohol use among individuals who have experienced relationship violence, sexual violence, and childhood maltreatment. My clinical interests also center on addressing PTSD and related mental health concerns among survivors.  Across years of advocacy, research, and clinical work, I love working with survivors and those dedicated to supporting their healing. I am excited to continue this work as the trauma therapist for CARE, joining a team with extensive expertise and commitment to supporting survivors. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, being outside, and spending time with friends.
