My dedication to supporting survivors on their healing journey began as an undergraduate at the University at Buffalo, where I helped coordinate research studies focused on survivors' experiences, alcohol use, and bystander intervention. After graduating, I interned at a transitional housing center in South Africa that provided services to women and children navigating the process of leaving violent relationships. During this experience, I realized that I not only wanted to research the prevention and consequences of interpersonal violence, but also to work directly with survivors and help connect them with resources that foster healing and empowerment.

This passion led me to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln under the mentorship of Dr. David DiLillo. Throughout graduate school, my research has focused on understanding the relationship between PTSD and alcohol use among survivors of interpersonal violence, with a particular interest in how the sexual objectification of women influences survivors' healing and their perceptions of themselves following trauma. Clinically, I am passionate about treating PTSD and other trauma-related mental health concerns, especially among survivors of interpersonal violence and young women.

I am thrilled to serve as the trauma therapist at CARE this year and to collaborate with a team that brings such extensive knowledge and expertise in victim advocacy and survivor support. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two kittens, Leo and Jade, being with friends and family, and practicing yoga.
